GETTING THINGS PACKED...

A CAMPING WE WILL GO!
Since Matt was off yesterday and him and Jay didn't have any work to do with the demolition clean up we decided that we would start packing things into the van. As usual the carrier on the van was full and we couldn't get it closed tight enough for the locks to work so I climbed on top of the carrier and pushed down the cover. Whatever works I guess! LOL Lucky for us our neighbors weren't home! The rest of the stuff is piled high in the kitchen and will be packed into the van when the rain stops. At this rate come Friday we (I) won't be stressed to the max finding room for everything and everyone in the van. We should be able to sit back impatiently waiting for the phone call from Matt saying he is ready to leave!

A HOT SUMMER DAY (Friday)

This was me and miss Trinity just before it clouded over and started to rain but it didn't stop us from enjoying the pool....

(my belly is a little pink and that was just while I was talking to dad on the phone)

During the showers the kids took turns bouncing and diving into the pool. What a great time we had. I even took a jump and made it over the side LOL! Then when Matt got home we took a family swim before going shopping for some camping supplies!

Enjoy watching the kids have a blast in the pool!

Jay taking the first run at it...

Watch how Trinity does it! LOL

This was right up Kohl's ally and he makes it!

Blake needed some help so Jay threw him over the side. He loved it and by the end of all the fun he was flying into the pool!

JAY'S FIRST DAY ON THE JOB!

Well here they are hard at work! Matt and Jay have found a way to make some extra money. I could to but it would cost me money for a sitter so it isn't worth it for me. Thursday both Matt and Jay each made $60 and were going to go back today but it is raining so we will see what the weather brings tomorrow.

ANOTHER DAY AT DANCE CAMP!

Trinity is loving her dancing as always but after next Wednesday she will have to take a couple of weeks off to go on vacation with us. I think if she had it her way she would stay behind to dance but she will still have many more weeks of dancing before her sessions start up again in September. Fortunately for us Matt has picked up some work with a friend of his doing demolition clean up and that has been paying for her dance camp as well as Kohl's. Once that is all taken care of we will just need to come up with another $150 for her solo. At least that is a one time shot! Kohl starts his dance camp on Wednesday and is getting really excited!

BLAKE MAKING A CRAFT IN HIS PRESCHOOL CLASS

(they just loved him....imagine that!)

I helped out in Kohl class on Friday. They spent a good part of their class time to make a get well card for a little friend who attended the Primary class. Little Austin fell out of a tree on Thursday and broke his arm and shoulder. Then I helped them all make a flip flop craft!

HOT...HOT ....HOT....

Today was hot and sticky so everyone got tucked into bed early tonight with their fans on high. Even Breigh found ways to keep cool! Now how relaxed does she look?! Tomorrow Trinity has another full day of dancing and the other kids will have a fun filled morning at vacation Bible school. I just hope it isn't as hot tomorrow. But on the upside I am getting lots of sun!

MY LITTLE PIGGY....

Blake finally found an appetite!
For most of my family you know how little Blake eats.... well that often leaves me wondering if he is getting enough nutrition. Sure he will eat a lot of treats but that isn't what I call eating. Last night I made tacos for supper and Blake ate 5 tacos and he was almost done his second before I finished my first. Now he doesn't put hamburger or chicken on his just the sauce and cheese but nevertheless he filled his stomach. Then for desert he had a bowl of strawberries and whipped cream before roasting marshmallows. I was shocked to see him eat so well and he was so proud of himself as well. I think he loved all the attention and fuss we were making over it. He was so funny that I took a video clip...check it out!

FAMILY FUN....

Friday evening after Matt got home from work we took the kids and the puppy to the beach. It wasn't overly hot but it was still nice and everyone had fun. Matt and Kohl got in the water then the kids played at the edge of the water with their float boards. The waves were fairly big and the kids kept falling into the water. Breigh wasn't too sure of the sand at first but before we left she was having fun digging in the sand and eating the sea weed. Once we got home everyone (puppy included) rinsed off in the pool. (forgot the camera)
Matt found a $10 bill floating in the water....and I thought he was picking up more seaweed for the kids!

With Matt having the weekend off we have been busy with the kids! They have been wanting to do a backyard bonfire so that is what we did Saturday right after supper. We quickly finished up our strawberry shortcakes, threw the dishes in the sink and headed out to the backyard. The boys (Matt, Jay and Kohl) gathered up the paper and firewood, Blake played with the puppy and Trinity got out the camp chairs, oh and the marshmallows! Matt took some time to show Jay how to start the fire and I have to say that they managed to get a good one going!

Even though everyone was FULL from the strawberry shortcakes they got right into roasting the marshmallows...I think Trinity was on her first, (maybe second) when the flaming marshmallow fell onto her left hand :0( in shock she sat there and looked at it. Her hand was blistered quite bad but once we got it taken care of she still wanted to continue on with the evening.

While Matt was taking care of Trinity's hand the boys (kohl and Jay) headed into the pool where they acted goofy as ever while Blake of course played with the puppy ( no surprise there lol). We ended the night fairly early and got the kids cleaned up and in bed at a decend time. So that was our Saturday.

Even though Matt had the weekend off from work he still managed to find work to do....he is helping a friend with the demolition of an old mansion house not far from here, so he spent from 1pm until 6:30pm cleaning out the depris from the house. The will put a few bucks in his pocket for vacation (or kids dancing). With everyone so tired from the hot weekend once again we were in bed early (not early enough).

So that was our weekend and this week is full of excitement for the kids and lots of running around for us. They are going to Vacation Bible School just up the street from us. "God's Big Backyard" is the theme for this summer! Blake is having a great time and get this he stays without me :0( so you know what this means... a couple of hours without the kids! Oh what to do with myself????Do I ever feel lost.

Tomorrow will be a little more crazy with getting Trinity to dance classes for 9:30am and the kids to the church for 9:30am and then Matt off to work for 10:00am. I guess I will have to take Trinity a bit early then back to the church, get the kids settled in there and Matt off to work, just to turn around to pick up the kids at 12:00 then Trinity at 2:30pm and Matt for supper at 4:00pm. Yep that will be a good part of my day! All I can say is that I am some glad that I don't have to pack the van for vacation until next week.

BACK TO DANCING!

Today was the start to more dancing for miss Trinity! Her morning started at 9:30am and she didn't finish until 2:30pm. What a long day and I sat the entire time watching because she wasn't sure how many classes she wanted to take. Now that I know she will be dancing until 2:30 I will just pack her a lunch and drop her off next week. She had a great time getting back into dancing and by the end she was exhausted and Kim her teacher says that she will probably be pretty sore in the morning. Kohl's dance camp start on July 23rd and he can't wait! So Trinity is having fun dancing once again and already she NEEDS new tap shoes and so will Kohl in September. I tell you their dancing is going to break the bank.....it looks like I will be looking for work in September!
This is a picture of Breigh trying out her swimming legs. I handed her to Matt just to get her feet (paws) wet and when I came back with the camera she was swimming. She didn't mind the water at all...now we can't wait to take her to the beach!

LET'S TRY ANOTHER BEACH....

Today Jacqui called and invited us to go to the beach with her and the girls. At first I didn't think we would be able to go because Matt had to work at noon and Jay was coming home today but I wasn't sure at what time. After thinking about it I packed up the kids, took Matt to work and headed to the beach. I figured as hot has it was I could't imagine Nadine (Jay's friends mom) packing up and heading home away from the pool and beach until later in the afternoon. We headed to meet Jacqui at Point Aconi Beach (10 minutes), when we got there we weren't leaving....the bugs were SO bad that we couldn't take it anymore. We decided to go check out Groves Point (10 minutes)....It was great there were no black flies and the kids had a blast. The only down fall with this beach is that it is all rocks so we couldn't build sand castles but they did get to cool off. We headed home around 3pm just in time to get a call from Jay saying that they were heading home.
While we were eating supper Jay finally arrived homed! He got a really nice tan but he looked exhausted but that didn't stop him or us from getting in the pool. Yes I got in with the kids. This was the first time this summer that I got in. How could I not the water was so nice and refreshing...not COLD!

The kids really missed Jay especially Kohl so after all the boys got their hair cuts done and everyone showered Kohl and Jay spent some time together playing the playstation. Now it is 8:30pm and I am going to get them all tucked in bed.

ENJOYING THE BEACH!

Jay is still away with his friend but should finally be back home sometime tomorrow. We have spent the last few days just sitting around here and enjoying the pool so yesterday after supper we took the kids to the beach. This beach is 15 minutes away and had lots of sand and quiet. The kids played in the water and cooled off. The sun was setting and black flies were starting to bite so we packed up and headed back home to the pool. Jay called last night but I had a hard time hearing him with the bad reception but he is having fun and doing a lot of swimming. I can't wait to see him tomorrow.
