As usual we are keeping very busy! Matt is on vacation this week ( well the kinda, sorta type of vacation). He has the district manager and district VP (someone important like that?) in for a visit tomorrow (wed) so he wants the store to be in tip top condition so that is where he is this morning but he will have to be home in time for me to go to work tonight and speaking of work let me tell you it was great. The training is going good so far and seems to be a great account to be work for. I am (will be) taking catalogue orders for Gumps catalogue. The items on the most part of very expensive but that doesn't keep people from placing the orders. The setting there is layed back along with the dress code, yay jeans everyday and the scheduling is very accommodating and that what I need. It looks like my training will be all week and will have the weekend off so mom is you are reading this it could be a good weekend for a visit...we will both be off! Just kidding but think about it :0)

Sunday the kids had a great time! We were getting the main floor bathroom painted so the boys were up stairs building lego then it turned into the war. They built guns out of lego and mega blocks, got dressed in their camo gear and started running through the house. Miss Trinity wanted in on the fun, so she found her black and white camo and joined the boys. I was a little on edge with four kids and the dog running through the house just waiting for someone to get hurt but they were all playing together and having fun and I guess that is all that matters!

So what did we do yesterday (before work)? The kids had the day off school due to teacher in service day so everyone was home, well at least for a bit in the morning. I had found Jay a queen size bedroom set with mattress and box spring, headboard and rails, high boy dresser and long 6 drawer dresser with mirror (5 years old) for $200. He loves it and it fits great in his room! He picked out a new comforter set for the bed but he knows he will have to wait for Christmas but he is ok with that. (the picture is the comforter in the Sears catalogue)Kohl ended up getting Jays old mates bed and loves it. So that is that, Matt survived with the kids last night and I have a lot of cleaning to get done today.

Ok so I guess I can't forget to mention Jay's school dance last Friday night. He was a little hesitant on going but ended up going with his friend Matthew (his mom was a chaperone). Well to my surprise when he got home he was exhausted and his legs were sore, guess why? yep he danced! He had the time of his life but the next morning the poor boy couldn't move he was so sore. He got me to run him a hot bath which did help him and he got on with his day but didn't go to the Air Cadets activity day at the school. I am glad he had a great time and it's nice to see him getting involved with the school and having fun. My goodness has he ever grown up just since the first of September.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAMMIE!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR GRAMMIE!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!

Friday, September 26, 2008

Yesterday when we got home from picking up the kids at school we had found a surprise in the mail box for Kohl. It was a belated birthday card with a McDonalds gift card in it from his great auntie Birdie! You wouldn`t believe how surprised and happy that made him and now he is looking for his night out to McDonalds :0)

Thank you so much Bird for thinking of him, just look at that smile and you will see how it made his day!
I am so proud at how well Kohl is doing in school this year! So far staying focused doesn`t seem to be a problem (to me no news from the teacher is good news...right), he is reading so much better and as always has all kinds of friends but Blaire, she is still his bestest friend of all!

We have all been keeping busy this past week and it is hard to believe that we are already getting ready for the weekend. The other day I took Blake and Breigh and headed to Matt`s work for a walk and ended up stopping at the park by the ferry terminal for a few minutes. It was rather cold that day but Blake did have fun. Lucky for us we got to Zellers just before it started to rain. Breigh has been doing great walking with us and I think she looks forward to her walks just as much as Blake does.
We still have lots to get done around the house but we will get it all done, it`s just a matter of time. I have some new clothes for my new job on Monday and will get some new shoes tomorrow then I should be ready to go and after hearing about how much this trip to New York is going to cost I am readier then ever to go to work, we will sure be needing the extra money. I will let you know how I make out with my job next week but be patient with me if you don`t see a new post for a few days, I will be trying to find was to juggle everything. Maybe Matt will keep you updated for me with some posts!
Jay joined air cadets on Tuesday! He is just going to give it a try for now to see how he likes it but I think it will be good for him and it`s government funded so it won`t cost us much money (if any) and it is right next door at the Junior High School. His school pictures came back and are great! I will post a picture when I get them!
Well I guess that is it for now I am going to head down to Matt`s work again for a walk and if I leave soon I can take Blake to the park. I might leave Breigh home this time since she has been outside most of the morning! She is getting so big but still keeping us up at nights :0( She is a sweet heart and loves having her picture taken!
`(I love the arrow on her head)

Lately Blake has been big into transformers and the other night Blake wanted Jay to build him the Optimus Prime Transformer out of Lego so the 2 boys spent some time together in Jay's room trying to put it together. It was no surprise to me that Jay could do this for Blake then before we knew it there it was. Blake was so proud of his Lego transformer and first thing the next morning he ran upstairs to wake Kohl up to see it! Now Blake is asking Jay to build him the bumble bee transformer. He will have to wait because Jay spent the night at his friend Matthews house and will be home sometime soon.
Jay starting the youth bowling league last night. They spent the hour bowling for their average. I stopped in before it was done to watch since after next week I will no longer have my nights free to go watch. I had my job interview last Monday and got the call last night that my training will start on the 29th which is great timing because Matt will be on vacation and I won't have to worry about the kids or working my hours for training around Matt's. This is only a temporary position ofr 2-3 months that very well could lead into a part time or even full time position towards the end so I am looking forward to the new steps ahead.
So dancing has been going good, keeping me busy but I don't mind all the running around. Trinity managed to pick up another class of ballet which means on Thursday nights she will dance from 5-8pm straight where she did have a break from 7-7:30 but since she will be there anyway every week Kim her teacher said she may as well be dancing! Now she will be doing a total of 10 dances and it doesn't end there, I got a phone call last night from Kohl dance teacher Amelia, she wanted to know if it would be ok to move Kohl up to a more advanced class in tap, jazz and ballet. He was one of the top 3 dancers that were offered this chance and he was so excited. He gave it a try today and did awesome! I am afraid we have another focused dancer on our hands who is moving quickly up the ladder! He isn't to sure about his hip hop class so he will keep with it until Christmas break and decide whether he will stick with it or not...I thought that was funny because Trinity didn't really care for that style of dancing either.

Blake didn't have a very good day yesterday, the poor boy. I can't even remember how many times he got hurt yesterday. It started off in the morning with Jay, Matthew and Blake outside on the trampoline, I don't know what happened but when Blake was getting off apparently he fell on his face and hurt his nose. At lunch time when Jay and Matthew were here they again were on the trampoline. Jay left quickly for school with Matthew because they were running late so after a few minutes I went outside to check on Blake and he was crying on the trampoline with his eyes closed. He couldn't open his eyes because Jay hit him in the eye with the soft light saber. He was crawling around with his eyes shut trying to find his way off the trampoline, so finally mom came to the rescue! After picking up the kids from school, we walked home and as soon as we hit the yard Blake went running (for the trampoline) and fell on the driveway and scrapped his nose and chin but this point we thought it would be better if he spent some time in his room watching tv, as he turned to go in the house he tripped on the step and took another fall. Luckily that was it for the night. It just wasn't his day!

So what has Breigh been up to? Well she is definitely growing and she is getting better with every day that goes by. The house training was going pretty good but she has been having the odd accident in the house but how can you call it an accident when the outside door is open? Anyway she loves to cuddle and this lepord blanket has become her favorite! She has been keeping us up at nights with her whinning and game playing. She will cry to go out and she will have her pee then come in, get her treat and go back in her kennel, then a few minutes later she will cry to go out again, she will have a poo, come in, get her treat then go back in her kennel. Most time she will be fine after that but lately she doesn't want to be in the kennel she wants either on the couch in our room or in the bed under the blankets at the foot of the bed. So we are thinking of trying her on the couch on her leash to see if she will still wake us up when she needs to go out. If all goes well she won't have to sleep in the kennel any more! As for the bed I don't want to start any bad habits because I love my space when I'm sleeping...just ask Matt about that LOL!
In the last picture of Breigh on your left... check out Breigh's head. Do you see the marking of an arrow between her eyes. I think this is very unique! Oh and she is in Blake's stroller! She didn't want to go for a walk the other day so thought she would hop in Blake's seat. She didn't stay there because Blake gave her the boot but she wasn't long jumping in the basket of the stroller.
Ok that's it for now I am going to get the kids in bed and hit the bed early. Hopefully Jay will be home soon because I don't think he has the house key on him. I guess I will have to wait up until he gets home.

SO WHAT'S NEW.....

....BESIDES A LOT OF DANCING????
You would think that by now with school going on it's second week that things around here would be starting to get into routine, RIGHT? Well guess again. There is so much going on that it is making it hard to focus on EVERYTHING. The kids are making out really well in school, Kohl got stung by a wasp at school today which left quite a bit of swelling to his arm but it seems to be going down which is good because if you know Kohl you know how bad he swells with bug bits!
Trinity starts her dance classes with technique jazz tomorrow, troupe (in Sydney at the other dance school) on Wednesday and tap, 2 classes of jazz, ballet and lyrical on Thursday then it is back on Saturday with the boys! I believe that Jay starts bowling on Friday with his good friend Matthew (his mother is in charge of the bowling) so I guess I should give her a call to see what the plans are there???? I think it's their poker night at the house so I'm sure the boys will be getting together to hang out! Oh and get this Jay is starting to ask me about hip hop dancing! What's up with that???? lol I know he would really like to do it and would have fun but he is shy and I think that is the only thing holding him back right now but I might (if he wants) take him to a class to watch to see what they do (there is another boy in that class). Jay is really starting to open up :0)
So besides doing a lot of running around what have we been up to? Matt has been busy with work but is on vacation the end of the month. We aren't going anywhere!!!! Just sitting back and enjoying the time off! (like that will happen) I went to the call center on Friday to drop off my application and resume and ended up going through some testing then was set up with an interview for this morning! It went really well but I have to wait until the next position is open. I think it is the first of October and is only a 2-3 month temporary position with lots of opportunities to work into a full or part time job. These were all just fill the first of the month so I will have to wait but it's better then nothing and the pay is pretty good. I will be doing inbound calls taking catalogue orders so that doesn't sound to complicated....I think it's a great place to get started. The other thing is that I need this position to be evening shifts but the supervisor was pretty sure that's what is was going to be. Wish me luck! I can't wait to get started!
I guess that is it for now I should go get Kohl's homework done!
Have a great week!

THE DANCING BEGINS....

....AND IT STARTS WITH THE BOYS!
Blake is in the pink preschool class with his teachers Amelia, Ashley and Morgan
"First tap class"

Let the tapping begin!

Blake is sitting beside his helper teacher Morgan... this is during Jazz class.

The kids are warming up with some stretching.

For working so hard they had a little fun in the end and Blake had a blast!

Now it's time for freeze dance...let's see how well the kids can listen!

Kohl was some happy to finally get back into tap class. I think he really missed not doing it last year!

Kohl getting back into his tap shoes. He wanted the shoes this year without laces (like Trinity's) which only cost us $80 but he's worth it!

JAZZ!

Jazz class...this is the first time taking Jazz. I must say he is pretty good at it!

and I also must say that Kohl is going to be quite the ballet dancer!

SMELLS LIKE STRAWBERRIES!

I my goodness, while laying on the couch last night with Breigh near I realized how stinky she was. Then it came a point when I couldn't take it any longer and march our littlest princess up the stairs and gave her a bath. Now I expected this task not to go over very well and called for Matt to bring me her leash just in case I needed it but to our surprise she just stood there and took it! We still have not bought any shampoo for her so again I had to use the strawberry shampoo and boy did she ever smell good after that. When she was all done she cuddled up with her towel. What a baby she is! I think she's a keeper :o)
Oh and the good news about Breigh is that I think she is finally house trained. She will now let us know when she needs to go out and if we don't pay attention to her she will nudge us with her nose! Now if we could only get her to stop chewing holes in her new bed!

STOP BULLYING IN SCHOOLS!

Yes Jay and Kohl are wearing pink!

Today the kids helped show their support with the school against bullying by participating in wearing pink shirts. We went out last night and found shirts for the boys! Blake was actually excited for once that he didn't go to school because there was no way he was wearing pink.
I am very proud of the kids for making a stand against bullying!

BLAKE'S CHOREOGRAPHY

Most of you have been enjoying Trinity dancing well now it's Blake's turn for the spotlight! Today I went looking for Blake and ended up finding him and Matt in the new dance room (old computer room) Blake was having a great time showing Matt his dance moves then I was invited back for his show. Luckily he let me video tap his performance.

I am sure that next Saturday when he finally starts his first dance class they will have a great time with Blake in the class! I think you can tell he grew up watching his sister dance!

BACK 2 SCHOOL

Jay Grade 7

First year of Junior High School! Not much to say about his morning so far. He left for school after we did but his good friend Matthew was here and they were going to walk to the school together. Apparently he has a great homeroom teacher this year ( Matthews mom is a teacher at the school so I can find out some things from her). Jay and Matthew will be here at noon for lunch which will be different for Jay being able to come home to eat.

Trinity Grade 3
She ended up have Mrs. LeBlanc as her teacher which we found pretty funny because my grade 3 teachers name was Mrs. LeBlanc and Matt's grade 3 teachers name was Mrs. LeBlanc. This year her and her friends were seperated into different classes (which isn't a bad thing...they were a BIT chatty) but she does have a couple of close friends with her this year from grade 2.

Kohl Grade 1

He was very excited to have 2 of his bestest friends from last year in his class. I don't think this is a good thing for his new teacher but I'm sure before too long she will have them divided throughout the classroom. It was sooooo cute, they all gave each other hugs! I call them the 3 musketeers :0)

Just one more year then Blake will be starting school. he can't wait! What is up with that face?????! Lately when I say to smile for the camera that is what I get... this could make for some nice pictures when I take him to the portrait studio in the next couple of months. What a kid! LOL

LET THE DANCING BEGIN!

I know you are still probably waiting for picture of our summer vacation but I just haven't had any spare time to sit down and go threw them all. I promise once the kids are back to school I will get some posted!

Last week mom and Robin were here for a visit and mom was able to go watch Trinity finish the choreography of her solo. She wasn't able to do her work to her very best with having a pulled hamstring AGAIN (looking into physio) but she did what she could to learn the choreography, the rest will come later, she still has lots of time before competition! Mom and Robin also got to see Trinity during her summer dance camp and now knows what kind of hard work goes into her dancing! It was also Kohl's last day at dance camp and we all got to see the 3 dances they learned. He had so much fun!

I have Trinity, Kohl and Blake all registered for dance! Now I am just waiting for the total amount due each month for their classes. This is going to be a NIGHTMARE but we will make it work (somehow). Trinity will be taking technique jazz on Tuesdays, Troupe on Wednesdays where she will over the year be learning 3 dances and going to New York next summer) and on Thursdays she will be taking Jazz (same class as last year), ballet, Jazz (advanced class), tap (advanced class) then will have a 30 minute break and will do lyrical. Thursdays will be a busy night for her. Kohl will do tap, jazz, ballet Saturday mornings followed by his hip hop class and Blake will be doing tap , jazz and ballet Saturday mornings before Kohl's classes. Yes it is going to be a busy year.

Jay has decided to continue with his guitar lessons but would rather play the electric guitar but that isn't something he will be getting until Christmas. So in the mean time he will practice with his other guitar. It will be really hard for him to make the basketball team this year in junior high with all the grade 9 players but he will try his best and if not he will try again next year. He is going to do youth bowling with his friend ( his mother organizes it) and will look into other school sports throughout the year.

check out Trinity's dance after only 2 hours of choreography! now she will work on perfecting it for Spring!
