BASKETBALL AND YOUTH GROUP....

LET THE FUN BEGIN....

The boys basketball team have been having a great couple of weeks and next weekend will be heading off to Cape Smokey for their basketball tournament. Matt is going to stay home with the kids and I will travel and take along some of the players. I am not looking forward to the long drive myself but I'm sure we will all have a great time away. Now on the bad side to this is that the boys just had to say goodbye to one of their coaches. Ken is leaving but not just his team, he has joined military ministries and will be taking his family and moving to Winnipeg. He will be missed and the boys are determined to win the tournament for him.

Not only did the boys lose a good coach but also the church and the youth group has lost a great minister and enjoyed their last event together Swimming at the Kiwanis pool followed by a pool party. We were all invited to go along and join in the fun and we all had a great time. Jay was off with his friends and Trinity swan around with a group of girls and Kohl spent most of his time jumping off the diving board. Matt had to work but I was able to manage the two younger boys no problem. Nadine had fun with Kohl on the diving boards while I floated around in the deep end with Blake. Then the pizza party. That was the best darn tasting pizza I ever had! Needless to say I had a good size piece (extra running on the treadmill) and Blake ate two large pieces and Trinity and Jay scarfed down a few themselves. The kids were so excited to have been invited to join the youth on one of their events. It didn't take them long to fall asleep...out like a light!
