BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT!

Saturday was the boys basketball tournament which was held at Cape Smokey here in Cape Breton. The boys had to say goodbye to their other coach last week as he was moving for work so I stepped in to help Nadine coach the boys. It was a long drive yesterday but the boys kept busy with their PSP's and DS game systems but when we got their they weren't ready to play. Jay and Matthew weren't feeling all that great but fortunately after having some water and sitting back for a minute they were ok and ready to play. It took the team the first half of their first game to get going but after some orange slices at half time they came back and played awesome and had brought the score to a 8 point difference towards then end but not enough to win.

After the game they had a break for lunch but we didn't want the boys to fill up on greasy burgers and fries just before playing again so we let them have a few snacks and a drink of juice . Back to the second game! Boy what a game this one was...they played like they were on fire and the points sure did show it! If only they could have played the first half of the first game the way the were playing they would have made the finales but wow they sure played a great second game which gave them 3rd place medals. Way to go boys!

It was different not having the other kids around at Jays game but Matt kept them busy! They went down by the ferry terminal to the wooden playpark then home and took the tarp off the garage door (getting new windows tomorrow!) then they spent the rest of the day putting up the trampoline and that is where I found the kids when I got home. They were dirty but having fun!

Today is our last dance rehearsal so it could be interesting. It is actually a dress rehearsal so I will try to get some pictures of everyone because we won't be able to get any at the show. I will get them post later on.
